Synnex is now a Comcast Business master agent -- offering the carrier’s cloud, Ethernet, Internet, voice and TV solutions to channel partners.
Distributor Synnex (SNX) has signed on as a Comcast Business master agent to offer the carrier’s Ethernet, Internet, voice, cloud and TV solutions through its MobilitySolv group to IT channel partners. Synnex is the first IT distributor to gain Comcast’s master agent status.
The agreement gives Synnex a key building block for its services-led, recurring revenue mobility strategy for its channel partners. In return, Comcast gains access to the distributor’s network of SMB-focused partners selling network connectivity services.
Synnex will add Comcast’s full lineup of connectivity, hosted voice and video solutions and services to its existing MobilitySolv portfolio of cloud application services available to its network of value-added resellers, said Kevin Murai, Synnex president and chief executive officer.
"Comcast's large national footprint of connectivity solutions along with their hosted voice and video solutions provide a natural complement to the needs of Synnex customers,” he said. “By offering these services, our VARs can now provide a singular source to the end user — a true differentiator which allows them to grow their recurring revenues at an accelerated pace."
The agreement enables Synnex to build solution bundles combining Comcast's network connectivity services with the distributors LAN switches, routers, servers, security products, storage and mobility products to help VARs craft end-to-end mobility and cloud communications solutions for their customers.
Adnon Dow, Synnex global mobility solutions business unit vice president, said the Comcast deal is a key component of the distributor’s services-led mobility strategy.
"Comcast Business is an integral part of our ‘Connect, Move and Control' mobility strategy, making it easier than ever for our VARs to build a services-led, recurring revenue stream business model around connectivity," said Dow.
Synnex said it will back the Comcast solutions and services with dedicated sales and support staff and assist VARs to quote and sell the technology where the carrier’s services are available--39 states and the District of Columbia, and in 20 major U.S. metropolitan markets.
