Ingram Micro is offering channel partners a technology bundle built specifically for the healthcare market.
Distributor Ingram Micro (IM) is offering channel partners a technology bundle built specifically for the healthcare market, addressing issues such as infrastructure, mobility, telehealth, cloud services and applications and other areas central to a health IT portfolio.
The distributor is calling the package the Physician Outreach Total Solution and backing it through dedicated and field resources supplied by its Healthcare Division, including physicians, and managers for business development, programs and marketing. Ingram also is supporting the initiative with its Healthcare Partner Network, an online forum for partners to identify and collaborate with a network of IT health specialists.
Ingram said the solutions are purpose-built for use in the healthcare market, and aimed at channel partners already selling into the sector or gearing up for it. The idea is to arm channel partners with a customizable, turnkey solution to offer to healthcare organizations to elevate them to current technology levels. Technology categories addressed include infrastructure, document management, electronic health records (EHR), mobility, telehealth, cloud services/applications, IT support, EHR assessment, HIPAA risk analysis and financial services.
For example, infrastructure solutions span servers, storage, backup, disaster recovery, networking and virtualization from vendors including Dell (DELL), IBM (IBM), Juniper (JNPR) and CloudWorks. Mobility solutions include technology from Motorola Solutions, Samsung and Targus.

Two months ago, Ingram showcased a new series of healthcare-centric, web-based training and education modules aimed at its channel partners at its third annual IMHealthcare Exchange in Grapevine, Texas.
