CompTIA has made several new training and certification programs available to Registered Users and Premier Members, including self-service online training courses.
CompTIA has added several training and education programs for its registered and premier-level members, including new self-service learning programs and a guide to understanding current IT market trends.
The new offerings, all of which are available now, include the CompTIA Quick Start Guide to Education IT, which provides partners with an overview of the most recent trends in the education market, according to the announcement. The guide also includes tips and tricks specifically aimed at helping channel partners win in the K-12 education vertical.
CompTIA is also expanding its lineup of self-service training solutions by offering several of its Executive Certificate programs for Premier Members in an on-demand format. The courses, which were previously only available in a classroom environment, include:
- Executive Certificate in Cloud Intermediate – education on how to integrate cloud-based services into a channel partner’s business
- Executive Certificate in IT Security Foundations – training to help partners become trusted security advisors
- Executive Certificate in Mobility Foundations – a program for MSPs and IT solution providers to expand their mobility offerings.
Finally, CompTIA Registered Users and Premier Members can now view seven of the company’s Quick Start Guides online via one-hour video courses. Straight from the press release, the available courses include:
- The Art of the Deal
- Business Agility
- Managed Services
- Managing a Managed Services Sales Organization
- Improving Sales with a Sales Playbook
- Tackling Cloud Security Concerns
CompTIA Senior Vice President of Events and Education Kelly Ricker said the addition of new training courses and guides is essential in helping channel partners to grow both their businesses and develop more effective employees.

CompTIA recently held its Annual Membership Meeting last month in Chicago, where the company outlined some of the upcoming programs and initiatives going into place this year.
Earlier in March, CompTIA appointed Amy Kardel as its new board chair, responsible for overseeing the company’s training and certification initiatives as well as in helping to boost employment within the channel.
