The VAR Guy sat down with VMware Global Partner and Alliance Marketing Vice President Toni Adams at VMworld 2014 to find out what channel partners might have missed at VMware's Partner Day.
What is VMware focusing its efforts on? Adams said VMware's channel program focuses on how partners can become profitability in hybrid cloud computing, software-defined data center and end user computing.
"Customers are asking for some sort of an off-premise capability," Adams said. "It’s very clear that the off-premise requirement is growing very strongly, but that the on-premise component will be the majority of business for a long time to come."
Adams also gave The VAR Guy a quick look into what the Palo Alto, California-based virtualization company has in store for its channel partners at PEX 2015.
