Hold on tight, because this week we’ve got some solid gold hits from the likes of Ingram Micro (IM), D&H Distributing and Telecom Brokerage Inc. Hit the lights and let the party begin!

Ingram Micro: The distribution giant has announced that it is expanding its K-12 solutions portfolio to include Pearson’s digital learning solutions, allowing Ingram Micro channel partners to create customized offerings for the individual needs of schools and businesses. The distributor has had wide-ranging success in the past with other education-centric companies such as Camera Corner Connecting Point, according to the press release.

“Supporting new ways to teach and learn is essential to the education process, and digital curriculum is at the core of a complete solution for schools,” said Michael Humke, executive director of Vertical Markets, Healthcare and Public Sector unit at Ingram Micro. “By adding Pearson curricula into our portfolio, we are empowering Ingram Micro’s channel partners with the capabilities they need to open up new opportunities and deliver holistic solutions that enable the schools to transition to a 21st century learning environment.”

Pearson said it hopes to capitalize on Ingram Micro’s previous success with other channel partners in the education vertical to make it easier for the company to deliver customizable solutions to its end users, including e-text and e-learning products. Ingram plans to continue to expand its education channel sales throughout 2014 for the quickly growing K-12 market, encompassing areas such as field-based training and education courses. 

D&H Distributing: Hats off to D&H, as the company was recently awarded WD’s “Best Distribution Partner of the Year 2013” award for North America. As a subsidiary of Western Digital, WD selected D&H from among nine other distributors for its success in collaborating with the hard drive manufacturer and for its expertise in meeting sales and marketing goals, executing new product lines and offering outstanding training and education programs, according to the announcement. 

"We're happy to recognize our partners at D&H Distributing, who have shown leadership in their ability to meet our needs and grow our presence," said Ernie Dunbar, director of North America Distribution at WD. "From initiation to execution, D&H offers an effective, creative and comprehensive set of services that have helped us develop new opportunities and increase sell-through."

Telecom Brokerage Inc.: Telecom Brokerage, Inc. (TBI) recently took home a cool $1 million prize for exceptional sales performance from the CenturyLink Channel Alliance. This year’s win marks the second time that Telecom Brokerage has taken home the coveted prize.

Each year, CenturyLink awards $1 million to any agent that grows its business with the company by $2 million in monthly recurring revenue at any time between 2010 and the end of 2015. TBI also won the award last year after meeting the growth target in less than three years, according to the press release. TBI also has the distinction of being the only company to be awarded with CenturyLink’s million dollar prize. TBI also eaned CenturyLink Premier Elite Alliance Awards for Highest Revenue Growth and Highest Sales Attainment in 2014.

“Securing this award a second time is a reflection of the tremendous support of our partner community combined with the hard work of the entire TBI team,” said Geoff Shepstone, TBI president. “This recognition speaks volumes about the channel’s ability to meet its customers’ most complex technology needs."

TBI followed up its success with the announcement that it has signed a distribution partner agreement with cloud-based communication services provider Voxox. Through the new collaboration, TBI said it will begin offering solutions from the Voxox business services portfolio with a focus on SIP Trunking and several of Voxox’s other popular solutions.

“Voxox is known in the industry not only for robust, reliable service and competitive channel incentives, but also for an innovative product portfolio,” said Ken Mercer, vice president of Sales at TBI. “We are glad to offer Voxox SIP Trunking and wholesale solutions to our partners and believe there is a real opportunity for them to secure revenue growth with the Voxox services.”
