This week's Channel Partner Program Roundup features news from RackWare, Vormetric and Appirio.
RackWare: The cloud management vendor expanded its Channel Partner Program to service providers and VARs, adding IBM SoftLayer, CenturyLink, OnRamp and MBS Services to the program.
“We have had mutually profitable engagements with our existing Service Provider and VAR partners by helping their customers to easily migrate workloads to their cloud of choice,” said Sash Sunkara, CEO at RackWare, in a statement. “We are delighted to open our partner program to additional partners to help them dramatically reduce the complexity involved in cloud migrations.”
RackWare launched in 2009 and has since moved thousands of workloads between sites and clouds for its customers, according to the company. In July, the company released RMM 3.0, the latest version of its RackWare Management Module, which allows users to move their workloads between private, public or hybrid cloud environments and expand their cloud resources as needed.
Vormetric: Enterprise data security firm Vormetric is the latest company to join the Google Cloud Platform Partner Program as a technology partner. Vormetric’s Data Security platform will extend the security controls of the Google Cloud Platform by adding data-at-rest encryption, access control and security intelligence audit log capabilities and other features within Google Cloud implementations, according to the company.
“The Google Cloud Platform Partner Program enables us to integrate our product offerings for securing and controlling data at rest so that users can further take advantage of the power of Google Cloud Platform,” said C.J. Radford, vice president of Cloud for Vormetric. “With the combination of Google Cloud Platform and Vormetric data protection solutions, organizations are able to expand their usage of Google cloud resources to include sensitive data protected by compliance and regulatory requirements, or whose loss would jeopardize their business prospects or mission.”
Vormetric users can access the Google Cloud Platform’s products to develop cloud app solutions, cloud storage solutions, large-scale computing solutions and Big Data solutions, according to the company. Vormetric is one of the latest partners to join the program, which consists of ISVs, SaaS vendors, analytics providers and others who offer complementary technologies integrated into the cloud platform.
