This week we rounded up the latest channel partner news from our friends at FireMon, Leidos and Data Dynamics.
Happy Thursday everyone! As we gear up for the Independence Day weekend, we wanted to leave you with some of the latest and greatest channel partner news to start your holiday off right. Special shout-out to our friends up north who celebrated Canada Day this week as well! This time around we’ve got the latest news from FireMon, Leidos and Data Dynamics for your viewing pleasure.
FireMon: Security intelligence solutions vendor FireMon has expanded its distribution agreement with Westcon Group to bring its products to Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Latin America. The agreement makes Westcon Group the first distribution partner to carry FireMon’s products on a global scale, according to the announcement.
Westcon Group will distribute FireMon’s entire Security Manager Platform in each of the newly added regions beginning July 1. FireMon’s portfolio previously was available only in North America and Asia Pacific through Westcon Group. The company is also the first vendor to emerge from Westcon Group’s new incubation program, which seeks to identify leading emerging technology vendors and develop global distribution relationships, the company said.
“Our success in the market made it necessary to find a partner that could provide the reach and the scale we needed to attract, enable and support our solution providers around the world,” said Todd DeBell, vice president of channels and distribution at FireMon, in a statement. “Westcon Group demonstrated the ability to grow with us and provide our partners with the services needed to meet that demand.”
Leidos: Security, health and engineering solutions provider Leidos has partnered with RSA on a managed security service offering for joint customers.
Leidos said its Managed Security Service Program will leverage its RSA Archer Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) knowledge combined with RSA’s Advanced Security Operations solution to provide a set of secure offerings for the company’s commercial and federal clients. The various Leidos MSS offerings are expected to leverage the Leidos Security Operations Center combined with the company’s critical security capabilities, including threat intelligence, enterprise configuration and vulnerability management, among others.
“We're thrilled to have Leidos join the RSA Managed Security Services Provider program. By focusing on the RSA ASOC solution and the RSA Archer platform, together we'll provide customers with a compelling set of security services to help support their security operations' needs," said Jeff Brooks, vice president of Sales at RSA.
Data Dynamics: Storage management solutions provider Data Dynamics has added Randy Seidl, former senior vice president and general manager of HP’s U.S. Enterprise Group, and Andy Monshaw, former IBM general manager for Storage, to its Board of Directors.
The addition of Seidl and Monshaw is expected to provide Data Dynamics with new insight into the data storage market and help the company build strong relationships with both partners and customers, according to the announcement.
“Both Seidl and Monshaw bring proven experience in building and scaling enterprise technology businesses, as well as a tremendous network of contacts within the industry,” said Piyush Mehta, CEO of Data Dynamics. “With their addition to our board, Data Dynamics is poised to provide enterprises globally with an automated platform to address their storage management challenges.”
And with that, we hope you have a great rest of the week and enjoy your BBQs, beach time and all kinds of other summer fun. Stay safe out there folks.
